July's Birth Stone and Sign(s)

http://www.etsy.com/listing/59949607/ruby-swarovski-crystal-large-dangle
July's birthstone is the stunning Ruby. The Ruby is red hot and fiery.  It is a very hard gem, not as hard as diamond but still hard and can be any color of red.

July babies are either born under the sign of:
Cancer (6/23-7/22)

Cancer is emotional and very caring, always willing to help others.

...or Leo (7/23-8/22)

Leo is confident and dominant, independent and a born leader.

Were you born in July?  Do you have any Ruby jewelry?

Gmail is Pure Genious (and idiot-proof)

I have a gmail email account.  It has taken me a while to warm up to gmail because it's different from Yahoo or MSN mail in the way they link all emails from one person together.

Today I was sending an email with an attached document.  As usual, I wrote the email and then clicked send (of course, forgetting to attach my document).

Gmail (being the brainiac that it is) asked me a question.  A box popped up and asked:

"Did you mean to attach files? You wrote "I have
attached" in your email but there is nothing
attached, Do you want to send anyway"

Pure Genious!!  Who doesn't love this feature???

I WON!

I love contests! I especially love winning contests (isn't that what we enter them for?). If you are a web surfer like me I'm sure you have seen your share of giveaways and contests on Facebook, Blogs, Twitter, etc.

I am not one to enter a contest or giveaway unless it is for something I really want.   Recently I entered a giveaway on a cool website called CraftGossip.   I found out yesterday that I won 5 jewelry books from Lark's Simply series.  These books sell for $10 each so this is a $50 prize!!.

I can't wait to get them and see all the new designs and ideas they hold!  Check out CraftGossip for yourself and see their other incredible giveaways...good luck to you!
