Sorry for the late post... I had a crazy busy week and then we drove over to New Orleans yesterday for my husbands family reunion.
I decided to post a recipe that I want to make. I'm not sure but I think this is what someone made for the reunion and OMG they were so delicious!!!
the following recipe came from the blog Simmer 'n Stir

Halloween Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cakes
Ingredients:Cake
- 1 (18 1/4-ounce) package yellow cake mix
- 1 egg
- 8 tablespoons butter, melted
Filling
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 8 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 (16-ounce) box powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Combine the cake mix, egg, and butter and mix well with an electric mixer.
3.Pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 by 9-inch baking pan.
4. To make the filling: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth.
5. Add the eggs, vanilla, and butter, and beat together.
6. Next, add the powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and mix well.
7. Spread pumpkin mixture over cake batter and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Make sure not to overbake as the center should be a little gooey but somewhat firm.
I ate these completely cooled and they didn't need anything, to me they were perfect as is! If you want to be a little fancy you can serve with fresh whip cream or a sprinkling of powdered sugar over the top!

Yummers. I can imagine the smell in my kitchen. I'll have to see if there are any pumpkins left when I go grocery shopping next week.
